what it does

the project acts as both a directory and a shared navigation system. each member can add the gryphon widget to their site, then visitors can move to the previous or next site in the network without breaking the browsing flow.

submission flow

one of the more useful parts is the automated join flow. instead of forcing everyone to fork and edit json manually, the homepage form can create a pull request that appends a new member entry and auto-merges it when the checks pass.

why i built it

i wanted a small piece of internet infrastructure for the guelph cs community. the result is a simple way for students and alumni to make their work easier to discover while keeping personal sites independent.
